The Curwood Chronicles

The Curwood Chronicles are a series of connected standalone fantasy novels by Australian author Alexandra Manfield. They are Australian contemporary fantasy and nature fantasy, with mystery, supernatural elements and a strong sense of place, moving between inner-city Melbourne and the Australian bush.

The River Daughter is a contemporary nature fantasy with touches of urban fantasy, for adults and older teens (16+). The Walkers of Curwood is a YA/teen contemporary nature fantasy that adults also enjoy, for readers aged 15 and up. Orion's Web is a near-future science fiction and nature fantasy set in an altered, futuristic Melbourne, written for adult readers. All are available in ebook, paperback and hardback formats.

Where to start: The Walkers of Curwood is a great place to begin, followed by Son of Shadow (coming soon), which continues straight on from it. The River Daughter is a prequel to both, telling Alisa and Tomas's story. Orion's Web stands alone and can be read at any point.
